Harness the power of gathering to nourish and heal the soul through curated experiences and meaningful resources as we equip others to gather their own communities.
Create an environment where everyone has a seat at the table. Inspire a culture of soaking in beauty and speaking truth. Empower others to abandon the pursuit of perfection.
Based in Longmont, Colorado, Flower & Fig was officially launched in January of 2016. Prior to the launch, I observed and interviewed thought leaders in the gathering movement as well as my own community. Through many conversations, two things stood out. First, as a culture, we are desperately hungry for more intentional, meaningful, face to face interactions with others. Second, our souls are undeniably drawn to beauty and design. And this is GOOD. But in a sea of Pinterest ideas and Instagram photos, the pressure of entertaining has left many of us feeling defeated and just plain not good enough.
I began dreaming of ways to equip others to gather more and well. And the concept of the gathering kit was born. Print resources (invitations, menus, conversation cards, shopping lists) with digital components (recipes, playlists, step by step in structions) that let you to focus on creating an environment where your guests are relaxed and deeply cared for, rather than focusing on the details.
Throughout 2015 and 2016, I experimented with several themed gathering kits and began hosting workshops and retreats based on the concept of truth and beauty in design and how it affects the soul. Over the last few months the Flower & Fig team has worked together, incorporating learnings from the last year to create a product we are so excited to share with you, the Winter Dinner Kit and Winter Dinner Staples Box.
Whether you are a seasoned host or your heart is connecting with these things for the first time, know you are welcome here. My prayer is that your soul would be nourished by what you find here.
I am honored to partner with you in loving your people well,
